Before Project
Before the installation, the roof was in poor condition with several challenges:
Degranulated Shingles
The existing shingles had lost their protective granules, making them less effective against UV rays and moisture.
Soft Spots
Water had penetrated beneath the shingles and existing underlayment, causing parts of the decking to rot.
Outdated Flashing
The flashing around the chimney and cupola was no longer preventing leaks effectively.
After Project
The decking is sturdy, and the underlayment we installed is much stronger than it was originally. The shingles are granulated and look a lot better.
Improved Aesthetics
The granulated Owens Corning Shingles provided a fresh, clean look.
Effective Flashing
Properly sealed flashing around the chimney and cupola eliminated previous leak risks.
Sturdy Decking
All rotted sections were replaced, providing a solid foundation for the new roof.
Stronger Underlayment
The heavier-duty underlayment offers enhanced protection against water infiltration.
