Women In Roofing

From the roof to the office, women are taking on additional roles in the roofing industry. More women are stepping out of their traditional jobs in office and on to roofs. There’s no doubt that roofing is still a male-dominated industry, partly because authority figures sometimes steer women away from pursuing construction trades noting it as too “dangerous” or a “woman should not be doing hard labor”. Women are knocking down those gender stereotypes and stepping out of the box and on to rooftops. Roofing is not all brute strength, it takes a very good eye for detail and planning. Women are known for having an eye for detail, making sure that a roof is both installed properly and visually appealing.

Here at Mid Atlantic Roofing Systems, we take pride in the fact that we have several women on our team. These talented women can break down the technical parts of building a roof and the materials used, while also managing daily projects and tasks to keep the business running. The women of Mid Atlantic Roofing Systems aren’t afraid to get up on a roof and get their hands dirty. We are proud that we can be a part of an industry that has accepts, celebrates, and encourages women to work in construction trades.

Mid Atlantic Roofing Systems is a proud member of the National Women in Roofing Association and offers roofing services across North Carolina.
